MISSION STATEMENT

Through varied tools on our website our desire is to see people encounter Jesus more. To dig deep, discover more and enter in to a fuller and greater understanding of who Jesus is.  From this, our passion for him will grow. Our lives will be transformed (Galatians 5:1) and our desire to share him with others will increase.

VALUES

We believe our salvation is secure. However, we need to be active in our relationship with Jesus, but all from the stance of grace. We are accepted, loved, a child of God. Ephesians 6 highlights this thought perfectly. Here are some quotes,

V11 “Put on”, “take your stand”

V13 “Put on”, “stand your ground”, “to stand”

V14 “Stand firm”

V16 “take up”

V17 “take the”

V10 “Pray……. on all occasions”, “Be alert”, “Keep praying”

These are all active verbs. The most important thing to remember during all of this is our motivation. We do these things because God loves us not to earn his love. Like any relationship we want to nurture and develop it. Our desire is to know more of him and worship him in spirit and in truth (John 4:23-24)

STATEMENT OF FAITH

The Nicene Creed perfectly outlines our statement of faith:

“We believe in one God, the Father, the almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is, seen and unseen.

We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, of one being with the Father. Through him all things were made. For us men and for our salvation he came down from heaven; by the power of the Holy Spirit he became incarnate of the Virgin Mary, and was made man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate; he suffered death and was buried.

On the third day he rose again in accordance with the scriptures; he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son. With the Father and the Son he is worshipped and glorified. He has spoken through the Prophets.

We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church. We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen.”
